A 15-Year Journey of Growth and Community
Founded in 2011, the Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Color Guard began as a small group of dedicated musicians performing at the historic Parliament House in Orlando. From those humble beginnings, the organization has grown into a thriving performing arts ensemble of nearly 75 musicians and performers.
Today, CFSOF rehearses weekly and presents three major concert productions each season, including an annual benefit concert supporting a selected community nonprofit. In addition, the ensemble’s marching band, color guard, and pep band perform year-round at events including Come Out With Pride Orlando and numerous parades and community celebrations throughout Central Florida.
Over fifteen years, CFSOF has become a vital artistic and cultural presence in the region—using music to foster visibility, inclusion, and connection while creating a welcoming home for LGBTQIA+ performers and allies.
