The Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Guard is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Marques Rudd as the new Associate Artistic Director. This exciting addition to our leadership team brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to the Central Florida music community.
Mr. Rudd currently serves as the Director of the Lake Brantley High School Band, where he has developed a strong reputation for excellence in music education and leadership. Under his guidance, students have flourished, and the music program has continued to grow and succeed. His dedication to shaping young musicians and fostering a love for music is evident in every aspect of his work.
A proud alumnus of Florida State University, Marques earned his degree in Music Education, further sharpening his skills and knowledge under the tutelage of some of the best educators in the field. His deep connection to the Central Florida community is also evident in his roots, having graduated from Tavares High School.
In his new role as Associate Artistic Director, Mr. Rudd will bring his extensive expertise to help elevate the artistic vision of the Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Guard. His leadership, alongside Artistic Director Dr. Lindsey Williams, will help guide the ensemble to new creative heights and expand our mission of bringing music, community, and inclusivity to all.
